Jennie Pope Ridenour

Jennie Pope Ridenour, 63, of Helena, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at her home. She was born on July 10, 1958 in Toledo to James and Nellie (Barsamian) Pope.

Jennie graduated from Penta Vocational in 1976. She later graduated from Terra Tech where she studied real estate in 2002. for many years Jennie worked as a Paraprofessional at Lakota local schools eventually retiring in February of 2020.

On August 5, 2000, in Helena, she married the love of her life, William P. "Pat" Ridenour.

She will be remembered for the many good memories of casino trips to Las Vegas, Laughlin, NV, and Cherokee, NC. She was an avid reader of books, and she would always tell the kids that she worked with, "Readers are leaders." Her grandkids, Enzo and Mila, would make her light up during their visits. She was the queen of her kitchen, and she loved cooking grape leaves and Baklava for family during the holidays. She always had a cup of Red Rose Tea in her hands.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Pat; son, Andrew (Diana Cunningham) Elias of Columbus; bonus son, Austin (Courtney Smith) Ridenour of Tiffin; grandchildren, Enzo Elias and Mila Elias; step-mom, Linda Pope of Genoa; siblings, Scott (Terrie) Pope of Toledo and Peggy (Kevin) Partin of Genoa; and nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 10, 2022 from 3:00 - 5:00 PM at the Fremont Eagles.
