Jeffery M. Schwochow, 38, of Fremont, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2022 at his residence. He was born March 1, 1984 in Fremont, the son of Charles F. and Brenda (Overmyer) Schwochow. He was a graduate of Fremont Ross and went on to work alongside his father at 1st Choice Portable Staging.
Jeff was an ingenious mechanic with a generous heart, often fixing cars for friends and or spending his free time to complete handiwork to someone in need. He loved making people laugh, perch fishing, playing jokes and was still holding out that the Cleveland Browns would make it to the Super Bowl someday. Jeff played the guitar and violin and showcased his talents won the National 4-H talent show with his song “Don’t tell my Dad”, written for him by Charlie, to the tune of Achy Breaky Heart. His favorite childhood memories usually involved time spent at the county fair and square dances as a member of the Local Schwochow Hot Shots.
Surviving are his parents Charles (Julie) Schwochow of Fremont and Brenda (Tony) White of Galion, OH; brothers: Brad (Andrea) Schwochow of Hudson, OH; Ryan (Sarah) Schwochow of Reynoldsburg, OH; niece Isabella. He was preceded in death by his brother Anthony “Tony” Schwochow, grandparents LeRoy and Lorene (Beeker) Schwochow; Donald and Susanne (Smith) Overmyer; uncles LeRoy and Vincent Overmyer, Chris Schwochow.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 3-8P.M. at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, 900 North Street, Fremont, OH. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Grace Community Church, 900 Smith Road, Fremont, OH with Pastor Kevin Pinkerton officiating. Additional visitation will take place one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Sandusky County Agricultural Society.
