Jeanette Pursel

June 30, 1952 — February 8, 2022

Jeanette Pursel, 69, of Swanton, passed away on Tues., Feb. 8, 2022 in Toledo. She was born on June 30, 1952 in Toledo to the late Ellsworth and Betty Faye (Silcox) Hooser. In 1970, she graduated from Waite High School. She retired from Chrysler Corporation

Surviving are her children: Dianna Meadows of Swanton, and her children, Bethany, Tyler (Miranda) Matthew "Critter" and Patrick; Penny (Nate) Colson of Fremont, and her children, Jillian (Brandon), Kelsey, Kaley (AJ), and Jamy; and Kimberly (Damian) Gerwin of Fremont, and her children, Ashley, Jonathon, and Makayla. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Sophia, Braxton, Cayden, Maddie Rae, and Grayson; siblings, Phyllis McFarland and Shirley (Barry) Kiernan.

Jeanette was a homemaker. She liked to bake and make crafts, from quilting to sewing, often giving them as gifts to her friends and family. She liked to do crossword puzzles, play the lottery, bingo, and go shopping. She was an avid football fan who loved cheering on the Green Bay Packers and Ohio State. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Dusty Hooser, William Hooser; and brother-in-law, Samuel McFarland.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Countryside Manor for the excellent care and support given to Jeanette during her stay there.

In honoring Jeanette's wishes, there will be a Celebration of Life service held in Tennessee at a later date. If you would like to make a memorial the family ask that they be directed to Countryside Manor for more Bingo.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, Fremont.
