Janet E. Keim

Janet E. Keim, 89, of Old Fort passed away on December 9, 2024 at Bethesda Care Center in Fremont. She was born on April 14, 1935, in Fremont to the late Edwin and Lorena (Risch) Voelzke. 

On February 6, 1954, Janet married Lawrence Keim Jr. in Angola, IN, and shared over 64 years together until his passing in 2018. 

Janet worked as the office receptionist at the office of Dr. Crede Hiestand in Old Fort for many years. She was also a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Fremont. 

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Lawrence Keim III; and brother, Dave Voelzke. 

Janet is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence; parents, Edwin and Lorena; and siblings, Norma Stiger, Marilyn, Virginia Bender, and Robert Voelzke. 

In keeping with Janet's wishes, there will not be services held at this time.
