A Celebration of Life for Jim and Jack Weaver will be held at Fremont Alliance Church (936 N. Brush St. Fremont, OH 43420) on January 8, 2022 at 11:00 AM.
Jack R. Weaver, 84, of Fremont, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Promedica Memorial Hospital. He was born April 20, 1937 in Fremont the son of Richard and Melba (Burkett) Weaver.
He was a 1955 graduate of Fremont Ross High and went on to work for Matthews Boat Company. He ultimately retired in 1999 as the road superintendent for Ballville Township. In 1995 he married Sandra L. Harkness in Fremont, OH.
Jack was a member Ballville Township Fire Department and enjoyed tinkering with and building model trains. He was a very involved member of Fremont Alliance Church where he alongside his twin brother Jim, volunteered their skills and labor on numerous church projects including the “Welcome Center”.
Surviving is his wife Sandy Weaver; sons Greg (Susan) Weaver and Michael (Kimberly) Weaver both of Fremont; Brad (Rachel) Weaver of Nokomis, FL; step-son Randall R. Gwinup of Clyde: grandchildren: Paige (Billy) Heishman of Clyde; Peri Weaver of Fremont, Kent (Taylor) Weaver of Oak Harbor, Ryan Weaver of Fremont, Nathan Weaver of Cleveland, Nolan Weaver of Findlay and Nikki Weaver of Toledo; step-grandchildren: Levi, Elias and Tobias Gwinup all of Clyde; great-grandson Greyson Lee Heishman and step-great-grandaughter Ruby Joy Gwinup. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jim A. Weaver.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 11-1P.M. at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home and Crematory, 900 North Street, Fremont, OH; Funeral services will begin at 1:00P.M. with Pastor Glenn Merrill officiating. Burial will follow at Castalia Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Ballville Township Fire Department, Sandusky County Humane Society or Fremont Alliance Church. The family is also planning a celebration of life for both Jack and Jim early next year. Online condolences may be expressed at www.hermanfh.com
