Helen Evelyn (Reinhart) Reineck, 86, of Gibsonburg passed away at 10:00 PM on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at home, following a lengthy illness. She was born January 15, 1936 in Seneca County to the late Alvin Sr. and Rose (Tiell) Reinhart. She married Henry E. Reineck of Gibsonburg on November 23, 1961 at St. Nicholas Church in Frenchtown, Ohio.
She is survived by her husband, Henry, of 60 years, 7 children: Herman (Sophia) Reineck, Howard Reineck, Laura (Chris) Ruggiero, Lisa (Tim) LaFond, Leslie (Darin) Fleming, Linda (Jay) Wagner, and Herbert (Bambi) Reineck, 7 grandsons: Cameron Beckley (Chelsee Fane), Boston Beckley (Brett Axelrod), Gabe Reineck, Sid (Alexis) Fleming, Connor Cain, Ian Reineck, Hunter Reineck, 7 granddaughters: Brennan Reineck, Luisa (Tony) Angelone, Jasmine Reineck, Devenn Reineck (Scott Cross), Sammie Fleming (Grant Fidler), Maria Ruggiero, Emma Cain, 2 great-granddaughters: Kaylee Beckley, Gianna Beckley, 4 step-grandchildren, and 2 step-great grandchildren.
She is also survived by siblings: Mildred Biller, Francis (Angie) Reinhart, Alvin (Kate) Reinhart, Silverius (Mary) Reinhart, Ralph (Mary) Reinhart, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: John Meyer, Franklin (Mary) Reineck, Catherine Mosser, Jean (Lonnie) Mendoza, Barbara (Paul) Lammers, Michael (Alice) Reineck, Joe (Sue) Reineck, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents Alvin & Rose Reinhart, siblings: Harold (Betty) Reinhart, Joan Meyer, Earl Reinhart, Maurice (Barb) Reinhart, father-in-law and mother-in-law: Rudy (Helen) Reineck, and brothers-in-law: Wayne Biller, Ronald Mosser, James Reineck, and several nieces and nephews.
Helen worked at Atlas Industries, Reino Linen Service, and Sandusky County Board of Elections. She was a member of St. Michael Parish where she was in the Altar Rosary Society and was a Eucharistic Minister. She was also a brownie troop leader, in a garden club, a card club, and was a mentor for Hilfiker Elementary Ohio Reads’ Program. Her hobbies included bowling, gardening, bird watching, and making rag rugs.
Visitation will be held at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory in Gibsonburg on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 3:00-8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Michael Catholic Church, Gibsonburg, on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 10:30 AM, officiated by Father Scott Woods. Burial will follow at Saint Lawrence and Saint Michael Cemetery, Gibsonburg.
Memorials may be made to Saint Michael Catholic Church (http://stmaryandstmichael.org/), Toledo Sisters of Notre Dame (http://www.toledosnd.org/), or Tiffin Sisters of Saint Francis (http://www.tiffinfranciscans.org/) in lieu of flowers (Helen’s preference).
