Helen (Harpel) Egbert, 94, of Gibsonburg passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Bethesda Care Center. She was born on December 4, 1929 in Sandusky County to Clarence and Ada (Charlton) Harpel.
Helen graduated from Gibsonburg High School in 1947, where she later proudly worked as a cook for 18 years.
On June 5, 1948 in Bryan, OH she married the love of her life Robert Egbert. As a mom of 6, Helen made it a point to attend her children and grandchildren's school and sporting events. She was a faithful member of the former Garfield Memorial Church of Christ in Gibsonburg.
Surviving are her sons: Steve (Diane) of Findlay, Dave (Kathy) of Millbury, Bill (Joan) of Fremont, Mark (Susan) and Paul (Rebecca) both of Gibsonburg; daughter-in-law, Susie Egbert; and 19 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; son, Thomas Robert Egbert; grandsons, Chad, Joshua and Jeremy Egbert; great-granddaughters Ella & Addison Egbert and Elliana Diemer. Also preceding her in death are her siblings, Robert, Ruth Kerr, Virginia Hilt, Dorothy Bradner and Howard.
Visitation will be held at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory, Gibsonburg on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 10:30AM-11:30AM with a Memorial Service to begin at 11:30AM. Rev. Travis Montgomery will officiate and burial to follow at West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg.
