Hattie "Della" Sparks

Gibsonburg- Hattie “Della” Sparks, 87, passed away on Fri., Jan. 4, 2019 at Windsor Lane Health Campus. She was born on June 27, 1931 in Madison County, OH to the late Chance & Viola (Shirk) Snyder.

On October 22, 1955, she married Jackie Sparks in Lewis County, OH. They shared 58 years of marriage until his passing. Hattie was a devoted mom and grandma. She enjoyed quilting, reading and watching Hallmark movies.

Surviving are children, Viola Chase of Gibsonburg, Joyce Nolen of Gibsonburg, and Jerry (Deb) Sparks of Fostoria; daughter-in-law, Mary Sparks of Vanceburg, KY; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three great-great-granddaughters; and sister, Maudra Jones of Findlay.

Hattie is preceded in death by her husband, Jackie who passed on July 16, 2014; children, Robin Louise and Virgle R. Sparks; son-in-law, John Chase; grandson, Brian Sparks; great-granddaughter, Kayla Smith; and six siblings.

Friends and family will be welcomed to the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg on Mon., Jan 7th from 3-7 p.m. Burial will be held at Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Sterling at 1 p.m. on Tues., Jan. 8th where there will be visitation beginning at noon.
