Harvey R. Zyski, 92, of Lindsey, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born December 16, 1929 in Fremont, OH the son of Herman and Jeanette "Carrie" (Kline) Zyski. Harvey attended Fremont Ross High School and went on to serve in the United States Army in California, Japan and Korea. On July 2, 1960 he married Joanne Nowak, she preceded him in death on July 22, 2002.
In 1993, after 45 years as a Lead Mechanic, he retired from H. J. Heinz company. He was a 26-year member of Lindsey Volunteer Fire Department, held a seat on Lindsey Village Council and was a member of Lindsey Lions and Bettsville American Legion. In 30 years of retirement, he most enjoyed spending time with his family and driving the wheels off of his car.
Surviving are his children Scott of Lindsey, OH; Mark (Diane) of Wayne, OH; their sons Derek and Max; Marissa (Joe) of Woodville, OH their daughters Kirsten, Alanna and Allison; Brenda Morgan of Phoenix, AZ, her children Tommie, Stacey and Kelley; great-grandchildren Morgan, Jamie and Rylie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, grandson Coleman Sargent; siblings: Ivan, Dale, Lyle, Earl, Alden, Milan Zyski and Ezra Bower.
Visitation will take place on Monday, January 24, 2022 from 4-7 P.M. at Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory, 319 W. Madison Street, Gibsonburg, OH. Private graveside services will take place at Lindsey Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Online condolences may be expressed at www.hermanfh.com
