Harry Willis “Bill” Halfhill, 87, of Helena, passed away March 21, 2023. He was born in Helena on May 27, 1935, to Archie F. and B. Marie (Wynn) Halfhill. Bill attended Gibsonburg Schools and started his working career by helping his family on the farm. He later became an auto mechanic, working for Sears until his retirement in 1987. After retirement, Bill began working full time out of his home shop until the year 2000 and continued to keep his hands busy with woodworking, making furniture and repairing antiques. He was one of the original members of S.C.R.A.P. and a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church in Helena. On December 10, 1955, he married Virginia M. Feaster in Tiffin, and they celebrated 67 years of marriage until his passing.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Virginia Halfhill of Helena; children, Teresa (Garland) Davis of Augusta, WV, Amy (Mark) Hoffman of Helena, William (Melissa) Halfhill of Calera, AL, Samuel (Barb) Halfhill of Gibsonburg; grandchildren, Gregory (Theresa) Davis, Andrew Davis, Kristi (Anthony) Morris, Joshua (Heidi) Davis, Joel (Jennifer) Hoffman, Patrick Hoffman, Grace (Bradley) Roberson, Rylie (Ryan) Graber, Sydney Halfhill, Zachary Halfhill; 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Maxine (Pete) Stagner, Virginia (William) Stump, Evelyn (Charles) Conrad, Marthalene (Ted) Hasselbach, Helen (Paul) Lowery, Betty (Robert) Roush, Bobby (Helen) Halfhill, Harold Halfhill.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 24, 2023, from 10:00 AM until the start of funeral services at 12:00 PM, at Shiloh United Methodist Church, 259 Main Street, Helena, OH, 43435. Pastor Michael Holcomb will officiate. For those unable to attend, livestreaming of services will be available on Bill’s obituary page. Burial will be private for the family at Restlawn Memorial Park in Perrysburg, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Shiloh United Methodist Church or to Gibsonburg Public Library, 100 N. Webster Street, Gibsonburg, OH, 43431.
