Harold Billow

Harold Billow, 78, of Helena, passed away surrounded by family at his home on March 18, 2021. He was born the son of Harold and Pearl (Lash) Billow on April 26, 1942 in Fremont, Ohio. Harold graduated from Jackson-Burgoon High School in 1960 and in that same year married Carolyn Bliss on September 9th in Angola, Indiana. He was a machinist for Dana Corporation until his retirement in 1995. Harold was a social member of Sons of the American Legion in Bradner, Ohio, the VFW, and the Loyal Order of the Moose. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, playing golf, and found enjoyment in painting.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carolyn Billow of Helena, children; Jeannette (Jeff) Dougherty of Fremont, Sue (Rich) Roth of Gibsonburg, Curt (Melissa) Billow of Fremont, grandchildren; Ryan Smith, Jason, Clayton, Cody, Bryan Billow, Kati Beuhler, Nathan Billow, 14 great-grandchildren, siblings; Mary Balyeat of Brewster, OH and Howard Billow of Helena. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Buster Billow, grandson, Cory Smith, sister, Barb Burkin, and Molly, his faithful Labrador pup .

Services will be held privately at this time. Burial will take place at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery in Fremont, Ohio.

Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory, Gibsonburg, Ohio, has the honor of assisting the Billow family during this difficult time.
