Gary W. Patynko

Gary W. Patynko, 74, of Lindsey, passed away November 4, 2024. He was born January 29, 1950, in Fremont, Ohio, to John and Doris (Fritz) Patynko. Gary was a 1968 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. On August 8, 1968, he bravely joined the United States Air Force and received an honorable discharge on July 20, 1972. Gary was a career mechanic, and worked locally for Chemi-Trol and IRM for many years and retired from DBI. Following his retirement as a mechanic he gained new skills in Amazon ordering. In 1986, he married Jennifer Cecil in Clyde, Ohio, and she survives.

 Gary was a member of the Lindsey Volunteer Fire Department for 30 years. He was a certified EMT and an instructor for the State of Ohio. In addition, he was a master carpenter, enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and owned a sprint car for many years. However, Gary’s favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren.

  Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jennifer Patynko; children, John (Jody) Patynko and Chari (Rob) Foos; step-children, Ryan (Vanessa) and Scott (Lataya) Moyer; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Priscilla (Ray) Gnepper. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Patynko, and his many canine companions who eagerly awaited him in Heaven.

 Per Gary’s wishes there will be no services at this time.

  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Sandusky County, 1315 N. River Road, Fremont, Ohio, 43420.
