Faye Louise Bunn

Faye Louise Bunn, 83, of Fremont, passed away at ProMedica Memorial Hospital on October 16, 2022. She was born in Fremont on February 6, 1939, to Roy Andrew Genson and Mildred Catherine (Nitschke) Genson, in her family home. Faye attended Fremont Ross High School. On March 2, 1956, she married her high school sweetheart, David Bunn, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fremont. They celebrated 52 years of marriage until his passing on October 26, 2008.

In her free time, Faye enjoyed puzzling and playing cards. However, her greatest love was her family, and she took every opportunity she could to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her friends. She was loved dearly by many and will be sorely missed.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Denise (Richard) Durbin, of Fremont, Dan (Linda) Bunn, Dennis (Mary) Bunn, both of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; grandchildren, James (Heather) Durbin, Candi Barickman, Danelle (Trent) Dvorak, Michelle (Mirko) Acamovich, Brad (Heather) Bunn, Erika (Brandon) Spicer, and many great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Shirley Sherman, Vera Whittington, and Colleen P. Doren.

Faye’s family will announce a celebration of life at a later date.
