Evanlee A. Deininger, 91, of Gibsonburg, passed away Friday, December 3, 2021 at Valley View Care Center in Fremont. He was born January 28, 1930 in Graytown, OH the son of Henry and Clara (Boss) Deininger. In 1952 he married Elsie A. Damschroder. She preceded him in death on December 25, 2011.
Evanlee was a pilot and farmer. One of his greatest accomplishments was being crowned the King alongside his Queen, Elsie, of the Flying Farmers of Ohio. He enjoyed giving friends and family rides in the airplane. In his younger years Evanlee enjoyed roller skating, swimming, playing ice hockey on the farm pond, playing chess, card games, and building and flying model airplanes. He even learned to play the accordion.
Surviving are sons: Daniel (Valerie) Deininger of Helena Montana; Thomas Deininger of Sun Lakes, AZ; James (Brenda) Deininger of Gibsonburg and Paul (Cathy) Deininger of Summerfield, FL. 11 grandchildren: Nicole (Daniel) Graham of Bandon, OR; Dana (Stephanie) Deininger of Suquamish, WA; Amy Deininger of Helena, MT; Joshua (Elizabeth) Deininger of Bend, OR; Dawn (Ryan) Niccum of Richmond, KY; Kienyn (Justin) Nowak of Norfolk, VA; Kelsea Deininger of Wadsworth, OH; Zack Deininger of Columbia, SC; Samantha Deininger of Gibsonburg, OH; Teri (Jean Luc Legacy) Ross of Bathurst, NB (Canada); Colin Ross of Bathurst, NB (Canada). 11 great-grandchildren: Jacob, David, Amos, Jack, Josephine, Benjamin, Moriah, Amelia, Noriah, Eitan, Zayden and two soon to be born. Brother: Vernon (Lois) Deininger. And many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 10:00A.M. at Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory, 319 W. Madison Street, Gibsonburg, OH. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery Gibsonburg, OHMemorial contributions may be made to: Gibsonburg Volunteer Fire Department
