Esther C. Irmen, 90, of Gibsonburg, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2023 at her residence. She was born February 24, 1933 in Toledo, the daughter of John and Helen (Labutte) Yeupell. In 1952, she married James "Jim" Irmen at St. Ignatius Church in Oregon. He preceded her in death on October 14, 2015.
Esther was a member of Saint Michael Catholic Church in Gibsonburg. She enjoyed camping, crochet, crafting, gardening and searching for the perfect seashells along the Florida beaches. Esther was a fantastic cook and always ensured that her homemade noodles were on the menu for Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Surviving are daughters, Susan (Roger) Sweidan of Menifee, CA, Kathy Krotzer of Gibsonburg, Judy Gonzalez of Fremont, Nancy (Kemp)Tyson of Fremont, and Jill (John) Zimmerman of Gibsonburg; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters, 1 grandchild and 1 great-grandchild, son-in-law Scott Krotzer.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Saint Michael Catholic Church, Gibsonburg, OH. A Funeral Mass will begin at the church at Noon. Monsignor Tad Oxley will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Michael & Lawrence Cemetery, Gibsonburg.
