Edwin "Ed" Boff, 86, of Gibsonburg, passed away April 30, 2022, at Countryside Manor in Fremont. He was born in Fostoria on September 18, 1935, to Aloysius and Pauline (Wagner) Boff. Ed was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean war. After receiving an honorable discharge, Ed was a pattern maker for Fostoria Foundry, which later became Chrysler, and after his retirement, became a gunsmith. Ed loved tinkering in his shop and could fix anything. He enjoyed being outdoors and going hunting and was always excited to display his catch of the day. Ed married his first wife, Faith (Needles) Boff, and was later remarried to his second wife, Lyndie (Doe) Boff, who preceded him in death on March 22, 2022.
Left to cherish his memory are his grandson, Craig (Ashley) Mintz; grandchildren, Brinley and Parker Mintz; step-grandson, Logan Hausman; son-in-law, Les Mintz; siblings, Doreen Harden, John Boff, Tom Boff, Sue Decker, Patricia Miller, and Donna Sanders. In addition to his parents, and wife, Lyndie Boff, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lynn Mintz; siblings, Donald Boff and Geraldine Borer.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, from 3:00PM until 7:00PM at Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory, 319 W. Madison Street, Gibsonburg, Ohio, 43431.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to ProMedica Hospice, 907 W. State Street, Suite A, Fremont, Ohio, 43420.
