Gibsonburg- Dwayne L. “Dewey” Hoffman, 68, passed away on Tues., Oct. 30, 2018 at Windsor Lane Health Care Center. He was born in Fremont on Jan. 3, 1950 to Ray and Glodean (Cunningham) Hoffman.
He graduated from Fremont Ross in 1967, and in 1969, he served in the Army during Vietnam. For many years Dewey worked at Martin-Marietta. He enjoyed shooting pool, fishing, playing cards, bowling and watching sports. Dewey liked to have a good time, entertain, and share laughs with his family and friends.
Surviving are siblings, Raylene Crocker of FL, Roger (Janet) Hoffman of Bettsville, Marilyn (Louie) Stevens of Gibsonburg, Jerry (Kay) Hoffman of Weston, Patricia Perry of Helena, Lyle (Kris) Hoffman of Fremont, Linda (Doug) Phillips of Fremont, and Tracy (Susie) Hoffman of Gibsonburg; and sister-in-law, Patti Hoffman.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Haldon “Doc” Hoffman.
Friends and family will be welcomed to the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018 from 12 noon-4 p.m. where Funeral Services will begin at 4 p.m. Pastor Luther McGee, Jr. will officiate. Burial with Military Rites will be held at a later date at Washington Chapel Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the family in c/o his sister, Linda Phillips.
