Donna Lynn Garner

Donna Garner, 57, of Gibsonburg passed away on May 5, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. 
 
She was born on March 3, 1966 to Howard "Joe" Whetsel and Kathleen (Burns) Melchor in Fremont.

Donna was a 1984 graduate of Woodmore High School, and most recently worked for her family's Bar, Kate N Al's. 
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Donna also enjoyed crafting and traveling. 

Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Kathleen (Al) Melchor, children; Ashley (Paul) Rodriguez, and TJ Bowen; grandchildren, Megan, Austin, Dylan, Ashlynn, Charlee, and Baylor all of Gibsonburg; siblings, Rich Whetsel of Jacksonville, FL, Joe (Aimee) Whetsel of Gibsonburg, Dan Whetsel of Swanton, and Andrea Weishuhn of Gibsonburg; as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Donna is preceded in death by her father, Howard; sister, Jennifer Lynn; grandfather, Millard Burns; grandmother, Winnifred Burns; grandmother, Frances Burns; and her beloved dog, Chopper. 
 
A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, May 11 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory, Gibsonburg. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 12 beginning at 11AM with an hour of visitation held prior to the service. Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery.
