Diana (Rieff) Dennis

Gibsonburg resident Diana (Rieff) Dennis, 63, passed away at her home on Tuesday, April 14, 2020. She was born on March 17, 1957 in Toledo the daughter of Duane and Sara Rieff.

She was a graduate of Lakota High School. She was mainly a homemaker but had a variety of different jobs through the years, one of them being Granny’s Kitchen in Woodville. Diana married Lynn Philips, though the marriage didn’t last they had four children and were able to provide a happy upbringing for them. For the last 26 years she and her companion, Mark Smith lived in Gibsonburg. Diana enjoyed cross stitch, sewing and playing competitive computer games. She loved to follow her grandchildren’s interest and was a wonderful grandma.

Surviving are children, Jeremy Rieff of Bowling Green, Lura (Nick) Engel of McCutchenville, Nathan (Dorothy) Phillips of Upper Sandusky, and Bart Phillips of Green Springs; stepson, Ryan (Erin) Smith of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Cole Butler, Coby Butler, Jayce Butler, Phoenix Schank, Trent Phillips, Nick Phillips, Martha Foltz, Caleb Foltz, and Tristin Phillips; and step-grandchildren, Cameron Smith, Skylar Smith, and Nathan, Brin and Ellie.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gary Rieff; and stepson, Cory Smith.

In honor of Diana, memorials may be made to the family care of Lura.

Burial at Bradner Cemetery will be held at a later date.
