Denny Fought

Denny Fought, 69, of Fremont passed away on April 30, 2021. He was born in Fremont, Ohio on May 24, 1951 to Earl and Mary (Howell) Fought. Denny was a 1969 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Xenia, Ohio. He worked as a coater operator for Glatfelter until his retirement on June 1, 2017. On September 8, 1984 he married Ann Baxter in the Rose Garden at Spiegel Grove, and she

survives.

Denny had a talent for bowling, golf, fishing and won various awards for horseshoe tournaments. He was a big Michigan football and NASCAR fan, enjoyed going to car shows, never missed a day to feed the squirrels at Spiegel Grove, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ann Fought of Fremont, son, Jason (Marjorie) Fought of Logan, OH, stepchildren, Jackie (Steve) Erickson of Detroit Lakes, MN, Jill Hilt of Fremont, OH, grandchildren; Mariah Fought, Olin Erickson, Cole and Caden Hilt. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Christina Fought, siblings, William Douglas and Trudy Fought.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 10, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, 900 North Street, Fremont, Ohio, 43420.  Use of a mask will be required during services and social distancing requirements may cause wait times outside.
