Dennis "Denny" C. Byers

Dennis C. “Denny” Byers Sr., 63, of Fremont, passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Firelands Regional Medical Center. He was born on November 18, 1956 in Fremont to Edward & Lois (Thrun) Byers.

Denny was a 1975 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. He was employed at Nickles Bakery until his retirement in 2014. Denny was a member of the Fremont VFW and the Eagles.

On June 17, 1977, Denny married the love of his life, Juanita Castillo at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Together, they had a son, Dennis “Buck” (Alissa) Byers Jr. They survive Denny. Also surviving are siblings, Roxanne (Jack) Ferguson Sr., Kenny (Christine) Byers Sr, Terrance Byers, Becky (Dan) Kwiatkowski Sr., Daniel (Patricia) Byers and Cindy (Craig) Swartz; grandson, Cooper James Byers; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Byers.

On Friday, November 29, 2019 at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont there will be a Private Remembrance at 12:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the VFW Post #2947.
