Darla S. Durbin

Darla S. Durbin, 62, of Fremont, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Promedica Memorial Hospital. She was born November 8, 1962 in Fremont, the daughter of Lawrence (Bud) and Phyllis (Smith) Long. Darla was a graduate of Gibsonburg High School and Vanguard. On October 3, 1981 Darla was married to her soul mate Jeff Durbin.

Darla was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Fremont Eagles. Darla worked locally in area banks. She was a natural caregiver and selflessly volunteered her time to help others. Darla was devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to show them she loved them. Her loving spirit and genuine kindness will be missed by all that were surrounded by her love. Darla had a special interest in sharing her passion for gardening by offering plants at her farm so others could explore what brought her so much joy.

Surviving is her dear husband Jeff, children; A.J. (Gera) Durbin, Alex (Korrin) Durbin and Jessica (Cory) Daniels, grandchildren; Aubrey, Luke, Ella, Taelin, Leah and Jackson, Mother; Phyllis Long, siblings; LuAnn (Chuck) Consolo, Pete (Linda) Long and Lori (Ray Nolan) Maynard. She was preceded in death by her Father.

Per her wishes private services have taken place. In lieu of flowers the family encourages everyone to consider a random act of kindness in honor of Darla's kind spirit.
