Dan C. Walters, 84, of Fremont, passed away in the comfort of his home Thursday, February 8, 2024. He was born August 6, 1939, in Washington Township to Zeno and Ruth (Moll) Walters.
He married Marjorie (Fox) Walters at the former Faith Lutheran Church November 20, 1959, and she preceded him in death September 22, 2021. Dan was a farmer and self-employed diesel mechanic. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix. He enjoyed spending winters in Florida, countless hours driving throughout Ohio, road farming, and driving through tractor lots and attending S.C.R.A.P. every fall.
Left to cherish his memory is a son, Dan F. (Michelle) Walters of Fostoria; a daughter, Ann (Michael) Pfeiffer-Nagy of Oak Harbor; two grandchildren, Stephen R. (Nicole) Pfeiffer and Amanda R. Pfeiffer; three step grandchildren, Zachary (Crystal) Dunn, Eric Steinmetz and Rebecca (Brenton Pettry) Steinmetz; three great-grandchildren, Cole Shondell, Tyler Shondell, and Chase Pfeiffer; five step great-grandchildren, Austin Kramer, Victoria Kramer, Devin Tolbolt, AJ Mangold and Shelby Dunn.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; and two sisters Virginia (Dan) Secrist and Jeannie LeJuene.
To honor Dan’s wishes, there will be no formal services at this time.
