Dale Fulwider, 81, of Fremont, passed away January 9, 2022, at ProMedica Memorial Hospital. He was born in Toledo on November 5, 1940, to Ray and Lucille (Zillien) Fulwider. Dale was a graduate of Woodward High School and worked as a diesel mechanic for many years at Wonder Bread and Hostess Cakes. On September 19, 1964, he married Mary Beth Haynes in Toledo, and she survives.
Dale was a very active man that loved being outdoors. He enjoyed going out on his boat, fishing, snowmobiling and 4-wheeling. He will be remembered by his family and friends as being a good man who cared deeply for his wife and his family.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Mary Beth Fulwider of Fremont, children: Didi (Mike) Chamberlain of Fremont, David (Kirsten Trammel) Fulwider of Port Clinton, daughter-in-law, Lisa Blechinger-Celek (Mike Celek) of Fremont, grandchildren: Justine Frankart, Shelbi Jump, Lauren Fulwider, Alex Chamberlain, Brigette Durbin, Eric Fulwider, 4 great-grandchildren, sister, Rhodena Wentland, brother-in-law, James Haynes, and sister-in-law, Rose LeJune. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Dale “DJ” Fulwider.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 13, 2022, from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, 900 North Street, Fremont, Ohio, 43420. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022, at 10am at the funeral home. Certified Celebrant Susann Robitski Zimmerman will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
