Cliff's Military Honors Part 2

Cliff Rawson, 78 of Fremont passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on August 15, 1943, Cliff was one of 11 children of the late Elmer and Goldie (Whitten) Rawson.

On January 26, 1963, Cliff married Faye Fisher at Grace Lutheran Church in Fremont, sharing 56 years together before her passing in 2019.

Cliff worked for Singer Controls before moving to Cal-Van Tools where he worked as a machinist. In 2009, he retired from his favorite job as a custodian with Old Fort Schools.

He enjoyed the outdoors and camping with his family. His RV allowed he and Faye to travel and check off the 'bucket list' item of swimming with the dolphins in Florida. Cliff was a Cleveland sports fan, always cheering on the Indians and the Browns. He also enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals. Lately, he had found a love of going on "deer cruises" with his family and going up to the lake to admire the wildlife, but what he loved most was keeping up with his grandchildren during their ball games and sprint car races. His family will remember how he lit up anytime his great-grandchildren came over to visit. Cliff was also a member of the Fremont Eagles and Grace Lutheran Church.

Surviving are his children, Rick Rawson of Bucyrus, Tammy (Steve) Fisher of Helena, and Cathy (Tim) Polyak of Tiffin; grandchildren, Cody Fisher, Stephanie (Matt) Hershey, Kelsey, Paige, and Logan Polyak; great-grandchildren, Lakyn Hershey, and Nathan Hershey; siblings Connie (Mike) Wilson, and Terry Rawson of MO; sisters-in-law, Cindie (Mark) Cole of Lindsey, and Linda Elder of WI; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Cliff is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Faye; and siblings, Donald, Homer, Eddie, Larry "Vester", Kenny, Bonnie, Thelma, and Bob.
