Christene Ann DiFonso-French

July 22, 1950 — March 30, 2022

Christene DiFonso-French, 71, formerly of Gibsonburg, passed away on March 30, 2022. She was born on July 22, 1950 in Fremont to the late Mario and Christina (Mancinotti) DiFonso. She was a 1969 Gibsonburg High School graduate. Christene went on to further her education earning an associates degree in photography. She worked for several companies through the years as a Portrait Studio Manager eventually running her own business.

In her free time, Christene liked to garden and sew. She married John French on September 3, 2014. Together they enjoyed going to the drag races. With family roots originating from the Abruzzi region of Italy, Christine was instilled with a strong sense of family that lasted her whole life, and she will be remembered for the love and lightheartedness that she brought to any room she entered.

Surviving is her husband, John of Napoleon, MI; children, Scott (Deanna) Wagner and Kimberly (James) Hill all of Gibsonburg; grandchildren, Alleynah (Jordan Kreglow) Wagner, Cole Wagner, Haily Hill, Tyler Hill and Jeremiah Hill; siblings, Joan (Dan) Reino of Springhill, TN, Paula (Patrick) Seitz of Oregon, OH, Judy DiFonso of Sandusky, OH, Maria (Robert) Brubaker of Burgoon, OH, Susan (David) Bragg of Gibsonburg, OH, and Nancy (Steve) Jones of Fremont, OH; many nieces and nephews; and fur baby, Lilly Rose.

Visitation will be held at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory, Gibsonburg on Tusday, April 5th from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Michael Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 6th 10:30 AM. Burial will be held at a later date at Saint Michael and Saint Lawrence Cemetery, Gibsonburg.
