Cheryl Marie Karr, 67, of Fremont, passed away on March 2, 2021 at Toledo Hospital. She was born on May 11, 1953 in Fremont, Ohio to Mahlon and Lucille (Schultz) Bradford. Cheryl was a Fremont Ross High School graduate and earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting. She worked for many years in sales and accounting for Eickert and also displayed her skill as a seamstress while working for Miley Draperies. On April 7, 1984 she married Don Karr at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Fremont, and he survives.
Cheryl was an avid gamer on Facebook and developed a network of friends from all over the world. She also enjoyed playing the violin and piano. Cheryl was full of inspirational quotes, one of her favorite being: “Always look at your blessings and you’ll forget your disabilities”.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Don Karr, children; Tom Schafer, Jay (Amber) Schafer, Jackie Mayfield, Rebecca (Brody) Adams, Daniel E. (Samantha) Karr, Donald A. (Mahriya) Karr, 16 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, siblings; Joseph Bradford and Cynthia Bradford Preston. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 5, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory, 319 W. Madison Street, Gibsonburg, OH, 43431. Use of a mask will be required at all services and wait times may occur outside. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, 1793 W. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH, 43410. Pastor Matthew Wheeler will officiate. For those unable to attend, livestreaming of her services can be accessed on the funeral home’s main page under the Live Webcasts tab.
