Charlotte M. Walker

Charlotte M. Walker, 99, of Fremont, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at her residence. She was born September 5, 1923 in Toledo, the daughter of Eugene and Grace (Van Marter) Best. She was a graduate of Gibsonburg High School. On June 27^th, 1942 she married Willis Walker at Zion Lutheran Church. They had two children Carolyn Cooper and Kenneth Walker Sr.

Charlotte was an avid baker, Angel Food Cake and Wedding Cakes were her specialty. She loved quilting, camping and traveling. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Gibsonburg, Order of the Eastern Star, Tiffin Chapter No. 189 and the Gibsonburg American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving is her daughter Carolynne Cooper of Fremont;daughter-in-law Diane Walker of Fremont; grandsons: Kenneth (Ginger) Walker Jr.; Karl (Kara) Walker, Kevin (Tammy) Walker, Paul (Dannette) Cooper; great-grandsons: Jake (Adrienne) Walker, Justin Walker, Nick Walker, Tony (April) Cooper, Mike (Melissa) Cooper; great-great-grandchildren: Kamryn, Maddyson, Mike Jr., Gianna, Ava; nieces and nephews: Gay (Jeff) Tingley, Jo Ann (Randy) Beeker, Keith (Teresa) Bruns; she was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Kenneth Walker, Sr., niece Carol Walker and nephews Denis Bruns and Glenn Bruns.

Private family services and burial at West Union Cemetery will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Gibsonburg, OH. Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory, 319 W. Madison Street, Gibsonburg, OH has been entrusted with arrangements.
