Charles “Jay” Graber, 59, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at his Helena home. He was born on January 9, 1962 in Fremont to Charles and Jean (Ickes) Graber. He graduated in 1980 from Vanguard and Gibsonburg High School.
From a young age, Jay loved 4-H and being around horses. He liked to go fishing whether it was with someone or going at it alone. He was an avid Ohio State and Cleveland Browns fan and liked to follow sprint and dirt car racing.
Surviving is his mom, Jean Graber of Helena; siblings, Lori (Glenn) Moore of Wayne, Jody (Alan) Jans of KS and Amy Graber of Helena; nieces, Megan Hobbs, Nicole Jans, and Erin (BJ) Oleson; and several aunts and uncles.
Jay is preceded in death by his grandparents, Helen Ickes and Alfred & Lona Graber; and his dad, Charles who passed on September 18, 2013.
There will be a celebration of his life tentatively later this summer. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory in Gibsonburg.
