Carol Ann Butzier

Carol A. (Feehan) Butzier, 89, died with her family by her side on January 17, 2023 at her home. Born in Wood County on September 1, 1933, Carol was a daughter of Timothy and Alice (Wiesbecker) Feehan. She graduated from Bloomdale High School in 1951.

On May 1, 1954 she married Verlin "Tiny" Butzier at St. Wendelin Catholic Church in Fostoria. Verlin preceded her in death on January 13, 2012. Together they owned and operated VC's Dairy Dreme and Parkside Mini Golf from 1967-1979 in Fremont. Carol also worked for Associated Buyers from 1980 until her retirement in 2000.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, enjoyed sewing, baking, crocheting and time spent with her children and grandchildren.

Carol is survived by children, David Butzier and Joann Murray of Fremont, Elaine Butzier of Woodville, Cheryl Butzier of Perrysburg and former daughter-in-law Brenda of Fremont; son-in-law Mark Sanders; grandchildren, Eric (Andrea) Butzier, Matt (Britani) Butzier, Mark (Bridget) Butzier, Stacy (Rick) Pollard and Heidi Sanders; great-grandchildren: Adilyn, Chloe, Kolbin, Kallie, Brynn, Logan, and Lincoln.
She is also survived by brothers, Bernard Feehan and Timothy (Betty) Feehan of Fostoria, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Luann Sanders, son-in-law Jim Murray; siblings: Mary Simon, Patrick Feehan, Kathleen Feehan, and John Feehan.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 23rd from 2-7 p.m. at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, 900 North Street, Fremont. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Fr. Matthew Frisbee officiating additional visitation will take place one hour prior to services beginning at 9:00 A.M.  Burial will be at Kansas Cemetery.
