Brent L. Smith

Brent L. Smith, 68, of Fremont, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021. He was born November 2, 1953 in Fremont the son of Robert and Janet (Grundy) Smith. Brent worked 46 years as a maintenance technician.  On November 10, 1973 he married Lorrie Rutherford in Fremont.

Throughout his lifetime Brent enjoyed bowling, softball, hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving is his wife Lorrie of Fremont; children Kelly (Brad) Stratton of  Columbus, OH; Kyle Smith of Middletown, CT; Andrea (Adam) Hirt and Aaron (Kristen) Smith both of Fremont, OH; grandchildren: Jordan, Colson, Avery, Paisley, Abram, Carver and Anderson; sister Viki (Michael) Hill of Fremont, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 12:00P -3:00P.M. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 212 N. Clover Street, Fremont, OH. Memorial services officiated by Pastor Matthew Wheeler will begin at 3:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church.
