Bradley J. Rubel

Bradley J. Rubel, 68 of Gibsonburg passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023. He was born on June 19, 1955 to the late James Rubel and Janet (Nonnemaker) Rubel. 

A 1973 graduate of Gibsonburg High School, Brad later worked for Materion, (formerly Brush-Wellman), as lead electrician until his retirement in 2020.

On July 23, 1973, he married Sandra Huss and have shared 50 years together in marriage. 

Brad enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing games on the computer, and was a fantastic handyman. He was a member of the Gibsonburg Masonic Lodge #575 and found great joy in attending his grandchildrens' and great-grandchildrens' sporting events. 

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sandra; children, Craig (Heather) Rubel of Gibsonburg and Leesa (Steve) Draper of Sylvania; grandchildren, Casey (Wyatt) McGough, Gavin (Heidi) Rubel, Caiden Rubel, Garrett Draper, Keegan Draper, and Conner Draper; great-grandchildren, Xandr, Liam, and Luke; siblings, Crystal, Tim (Karen) Rubel, and Nick (Joan) Rubel; stepmother, Pauleen Rubel; and stepsister, Dawn (Ed) Sandwisch.

Brad is preceded in death by his parents, James and Janet; and siblings, Gayle Rubel, Gay Rubel, James Rubel, Rod Rubel, and Bryan Pierce. 

Visitation for Bradley will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from 3:00-7:00pm with a Masons Service beginning at 6:45pm at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home and Crematory, Gibsonburg. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 21 beginning at 9:00am at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home, Gibsonburg with burial to follow at West Union Cemetery.
