Bobby Ray Estep

Bobby Ray Estep, 73, of Fremont, passed away at home on September 22, 2021. He was born in Phelps, Kentucky, on May 23, 1948 to Jarvie and Lois (Collins) Estep. He attended Phelps High School and graduated in 1966. Bobby was drafted into the Vietnam war and served in the Army National Guard for 7 years. Following his honorable discharge Bobby worked for Kelsey Hayes as a machinist and retired in 2005. On June 21, 1984, he married Pamela K. Starr in Fremont, Ohio, and they enjoyed 21 years of marriage until her passing on March 13, 2005.

In his spare time Bobby could be found woodworking, fixing up cars or leather crafting. He also enjoyed his daily socializing at Pub 400 in Fremont. Bobby will be remembered by his friends and family as a very content man who preferred and enjoyed living a very simple life.

Left to cherish his memory are his children; Bobby J. (Bobbi) Estep of Gibsonburg, Phillip J. (Jillian) Estep of Fremont, Frank Karr of Fremont, Deb (Brad) Agee of Bellevue, Ohio, Robin Crumpler of Westerville, Ohio, Bob (Rhonda) Bellard of Columbus, Ohio, grandchildren; Yalante, Decoda, Austin, Alexis, Gage, Myla, Braden, Bryce, Bria, Seth, Zach, Emily, Matt, Sarah, Tyler, Quinten, AJ, Emma, and great-grandchildren; Lilyana, Happy, Hartley, Bentley, Finn. In addition to his parents and wife, Pamela Estep, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Michael, siblings; Hanner Dotson, Ida Winke, Joe Estep, Phillip Estep, Priscilla Daughtery, Rachel Pruitt, Ina Sue Aubrey, and Lucinda.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, 900 North Street, Fremont, Ohio, 43420. A celebration of life service will begin at 1:00 PM with military honors to follow at the funeral home.
