Betty Sue Parker

Clyde- Betty Sue Parker 79, passed away at Stein Hospice, Sandusky on Wed. March 6, 2019. She was born in Mouthcard, KY on April 21, 1939 to William P. and Gladys (Elswick) Shortridge.

Betty married Lawrence Parker in Fremont on July 12, 1958. She worked for Whirlpool for many years until her retirement. Betty was a big Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Indians fan. She was known for her vast collection of shoes that impeccably matched every outfit. She will always be remembered as a loving and engaging grandma and great-grandma.

Left to cherish her memory are children, Debra (Dave) Gegorski of Fremont, Timothy (Michele Mack) Parker of Fremont, Larry (Nancy) Parker of Fremont and Laurie Parker-Salyers of Sandusky; grandchildren, Matthew & Grant Gegorski, Cole & Carson Parker and Bailey Parker; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Declan, and Ella Gegorski; siblings, Ray and Ron Shortridge; and fur babies, Beau & Maddie.

She is preceded in death by her husband and siblings, Ruby Hurlbut, Nell Justice, and Roy Shortridge.

Funeral Services will be held at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont on Mon., March 11, 2019 10:00 a.m. where there will be an additional hour of visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Rev. Jeff Martin will officiate. Burial will follow at McGormley Cemetery, Fremont.
