Bernita Herr

Bernita L. Herr, 87, of Fremont passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025 at Countryside Manor. She was born on Nov. 10, 1937 in Tiffin, Ohio, a daughter of George J. and Viola Bell (Greenwood) Schleter, Sr.

She married her best friend Ronald R. Herr on July 30, 1960. Bernita loved cooking, baking, and traveling. Above all she loved to spend time with her family.

Bernita worked a variety of jobs from telephone operator to deli worker, store clerk to office worker. She retired from the Golden Threads office at ProMedica Memorial Hospital.

Left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Emma Lou Lynch, John (Mary) Schleter, and Jim (Sandy) Schleter; daughter, Robin (Gary Wagner) Armentrout; grandsons, Brian Armentrout, Cory (Nikki) Armentrout and John (Robin Swanson) Moreland; great-grandchildren, Douglas, Kameron (Kyrsten White), Brenyn, Blake, Cirah, Chayse, Eragon, Tauriel and Seeley; and great-great-grandchildren, Aahdya and Kendyll (coming in May).

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother & sister-in-law, George "Jack" and Ethel "ET" Schleter; brother-in-law, Eldon Lynch; daughter & son-in-law, Susan & Ronald Payne; granddaughter-in-law, Nichole Armentrout.

Visitation will be held at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home on Friday, March 21, 2025 from 5-8PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 22 at 10AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
