Arnold Wilson, 92, of Fremont, passed away May 24, 2024. He was born in Grafton, WV, on January 16, 1932, to Charles and Ella (Isner) Wilson. Arnold graduated from high school in 1950, and for two years was a railroad electrician for B &O Railroad in Grafton. In 1952, he served in the United States Army during the Korean War in the 10th Army Corps. and 58th Engineering Corps. until 1954 when he received an honorable discharge. On August 30, 1952, he married Eva "Lucille" Williams, and they enjoyed 68 years of marriage until her passing on July 23, 2020. 

Arnold was a hardworking man. He worked for Ohio Bell for 30 years, AT&T for 5 years, and Arnies Communication & Telephone Service for 19 years until finally retiring on December 31, 2005. Arnold loved keeping himself busy and well was known as a "jack of all trades and master of none". He could fix anything and in his free time, he enjoyed "piddling around" and doing repairs. He would always go out of his way to help friends and family and was known for giving more than was needed. Arnold also enjoyed hunting with family and was a long-time member of Grace Community Church.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, LuAnne (Randy) Ohms, Fremont, OH; son, Duane Wilson, Warsaw, IN; seven grandchildren: Jay (Laura) Ohms, Josh Ohms, Jenna (Nick) Pierce, Krista (Nate) Polston, Alexa Roddy, Taylour Roddy, & Kennedy Roddy; and six great grandchildren: Maddox & Nash Polston, Calan & Lainie Ohms, Madison and Weston Pierce.
In addition to his parents and wife, Lucille Wilson, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharron Wilson-Roddy; daughter-in-law, Deena Wilson; infant twin siblings and siblings, Harold Wilson, Juanita Ludwick, Wyona Stallings, Wanda Ruth Beavers Darrel Wilson, Hartsel Wilson, and Betty Jean Gough. 

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2024, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, 900 North Street, Fremont, OH, 43420. Additional visiting will be held Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM at Grace Community Church, 900 Smith Road, Fremont, OH, 43420. Funeral Services will begin at 10:30 AM at church. Pastor Tim Wisehart will officiate. For those unable to attend, live-streaming of services will be available by following the link provided on his obituary page.

Additional visitation will be held Friday, May 31, 2024, from 9:00 AM until 11:30 AM at Bartlett Funeral Home & Crematory, 202 Mc Graw Avenue, Grafton, WV, 26354. Funeral services will begin at 11:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial and military honors will follow at Grafton National Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grace Community Church.
