Anne M. Offenburg, 78, of Fremont passed away on January 19, 2025, at Bethesda Care Center. She was born on September 19, 1946 in Toledo to the late Norman and Frances (Genzman) Offenburg.
For many years Anne worked in laundry and housekeeping for Atlas and later at Countryside Manor. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Fremont.
She enjoyed reading, but her passion was her unwavering love for animals, especially her cherished dogs. She was known to make sure that stray cats in her neighborhood were given food and shelter. Her selfless acts of compassion for these animals mirrored the warmth she extended to family and friends alike.
Anne is survived by her nephew, Gary Jr. (Cheryl) Offenburg of Fremont, their children, Garrett and Ashley, and Ashley's girls, Kendra & Kayden; and Anne's other nephew, Brian (Nan Michaels) Offenburg of Fremont, his daughter, Abby, and her son, Reiker.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gary Offenburg Sr.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 27th from 9:00-11:00 AM at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, Fremont with Funeral Services will be beginning at 11AM. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont. Maureen Pump, Synod Authorized Minister (SAM) will officiate.
Memorials in honor of Anne may be made to the Humane Society of Sandusky County or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
