Alberta Simon

Alberta L. Simon, 94 of Fremont passed away the morning of April 12, 2025. She was born on March 20, 1931 to the late William and Marie (Frantzreb) Rottinghaus in Cincinnati, Ohio.

On April 10, 1954, Alberta married Alfred Simon.

She worked as a sewing machine operator for the Heyman Corporation, retiring in 1996.

Alberta was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and loved to collect frogs.

Surviving are her daughter, Marilyn Shepherd of Bradner; grandchildren, Amy, Jason, William, Brian and Jennifer ; and 7 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Harold Culbertson; and siblings, William Elliott and Lucille Waller.

Visitation for Alberta will be held on Wednesday, April 23 from 9-11AM at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, Fremont. Burial will be held later at McGormley Cemetery.

Donations in honor of Alberta may be made to Marilyn for final expenses.
