Rebecca L. Brzeczek, 54 of Helena, Ohio died Sunday, October 29, 2006 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo. She was born on April 15, 1952 in Blackhills, SD to Jack Paul and Doris Jane (Patton) Bales. Rebecca was a 1970 graduate of Conneaut High School and attended Kent State majoring in Education. On September 18, 1971 she married George Brzeczek at the First United Methodist Church in Conneaut and he survives. Rebecca was a librarian for the Birchard Public Library at the Gibsonburg and Woodville branches. She was an active member of Faith United Methodist Church, and enjoyed reading, pets, beading and being a Veterinary Assistant at Country Squire Animal Hospital in Oregon. Rebecca also enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. Surviving in addition to her husband, are her children, Cheryl (Paul) Ward of Woodville, Lori (John) Harlach of Gibsonburg, Mike (Brandy) Brzeczek of Woodville; grandchildren, Libby, Jackie Harlach, Mikey and Bryce Brzeczek. She is preceded in death by her brother, Jackie Bales and her mother. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Services will be on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Faith United Methodist Church with one hour of visitation prior to the services. Rev. Jerel Jackson will officiate. Burial will be at West Union Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Faith United Methodist Church or Birchard Public Library in Rebeccas name.
