John Pappy Albright, 93, Fremont, died early Wednesday morning at Bethesda Care Center. He was born on February 17, 1912 in Ripley County, Indiana to Ashley and Nora (Caplinger) Albright. On August 10, 1935 he married Hope Williams and she preceded him in death on December 9, 1997. John was a truck driver for Long Transportation and Craun Transportation, Bettsville retiring in 1972. He was a member of the Bellevue Moose, Fremont Eagles, and Teamsters Local 20 Retiree Association. John was a former member of Faith Lutheran Church, Fremont.
Surviving are children, Don A. Albright, Port Clinton, Marlene (Walter) Evans, Elmore, Joanne (Sonny) Jones, Fremont, Diane Albright, Louisiana, sister Golda Littlejohn, Edinburgh, IN, 13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death are his parents; wife, Hope; daughter, Darlene Garber; grandson Jason Albright, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 4 from 3-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Fremont. Services will be held on Saturday, March 5th at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Karl Ribbeck officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Garden, Clyde.
