Marguerite M. Aldrich, age 94, of Gibsonburg died Friday morning, February 10, at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. Born on August 14, 1911 in Lindsey, Ohio to Jesse L. and Hattie M. (Moll) VanNess, Marguerite married Paul L. Aldrich. They were married in Toledo on December 17, 1931. He preceded her in death on April 20, 1984. Marguerite worked as a homemaker. She was a very active member of the Wayne Church of Christ and the women's auxiliary of the Gibsonburg American Legion Post and a Gold Star Mother. Surviving her are children Jimmie L. (Jackie) Aldrich and Virginia P. (James W.) Moll both of Gibsonburg, Franklin D. (Lenora) Aldrich of Amsden, OH, Paul LaMar (Madeline) Aldrich of Fremont, Jerry L. Aldrich of Gibsonburg, Clair "C.L." (Sharon) Aldrich of Woodville and Paula Sue (Scott) Pertner of Gibsonburg, brothers Jesse VanNess of Fremont and Claude VanNess of Martin, OH, sisters Clara Ellen Jenck of Fremont, Florence Shively of Gibsonburg and Dorothy Foss of Huron, OH. Twenty-three grandchildren, forty great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren also survive. Marguerite is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son David who was killed in Vietnam, sisters Viola Schlea, Lulu Ward and Martha Shull, and brothers Dale, Paul, Harold and Charles. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 15, 11 a.m., at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Gibsonburg where visitation will be Tuesday, 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Minister, John Amstutz, will officiate the services. Burial will be at West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg.
