Richard Dick Amor, 79 of Fremont, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Countryside Continuing Care Center, Fremont. He was born on March 30, 1930 in Fremont to Joseph and Lillian (Knepper) Amor. On June 17, 1950 he married Charlotte Little at the Eastside Presbyterian Church and she survives. Dick worked at the A & P Store in Fremont and later for his father-in-law at Stephen Little & Sons Tanks as a laborer for over 20 years until his retirement. He was a member of Fremont Alliance Church. Dick enjoyed fishing, camping, reading, sports, gardening and spending time with his family and grandchildren as well as caring for the lawn at his church.
Also surviving are children, Stephen Amor and Lisa (Joseph) Bartson, both of Fremont; grandchildren, Matthew Richard (Michele) Bartson, Marshall Paul Amor and Brandon Joseph (Andrea) Bartson; great-grandchildren, Jaymn, Wesley & Kolette; sister, Lola King of Fremont; and sisters-in-law, June and Marie Amor and LaDonna Little all of Fremont. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Joseph, James, Jack (Eleanore) and William (Marlene) Amor; brothers-in-law, Paul King and Robert Little.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Fremont Alliance Church at 1 p.m. with Pastor Paul Miller officiating. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m.
