Ida Dolly Cardosy, 75, formerly of Fremont, died early Monday at the Provena Sacred Heart Home in Avilla, IN where she made her home for the past two years. She was born on January 2, 1932 in Wood County to the now deceased Edward and Ida (Rinker) Brossia. Dolly was a 1949 graduate of Lake High School and attended Elkhart Business School in Elkhart, IN. On September 12, 1953 she married Jack Cardosy at Zoar Lutheran Church in Perrysburg, OH. Jack died in February 2004. Dolly is a member of Faith Lutheran Church. She was a secretary for the Fremont Company for a number of years. Dolly was also a Blue Ribbon Pie Baker for the Sandusky County Fair and she enjoyed gardening, playing piano, singing and she especially loved her grandchildren.
Surviving are daughters Jacilyn (Van) Cardosy Fisher of Martins Ferry, OH, Jennifer (Steve) Kramer of Kendallville, IN; 3 grandchildren, Jack Charles Cardosy-Fisher, Max Addison Cardosy-Kramer and Carl Edward Cardosy- Kramer. She is prededed in death by her parents, husband, sisters Mary Nelson, Fern Hunter; brothers Charles Brossia, Robert Brossia & Edward Brossia.
Visitation will be at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Wednesday, August 22 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.
Services for Dolly will be at the Faith Lutheran Church on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. with one hour of visitation at church prior to the services. Pastor Robert Young will officiate.
Burial will be held at Lake Township Cemetery in Walbridge, OH.
