Allison Kaye Allie Ansted, 23 of Lindsey, died on Sunday, June 8, 2008. She was born on May 2, 1985 in Toledo to William J. and Barbara (Steele) Ansted. Allie graduated from Gibsonburg High School in 2003 and also the Capital University, Suma Cum Laude with double majors in History and Integrated Social Studies and double minors in German and Political Science with education credentials. She was substitute teaching in Fremont and Gibsonburg Middle Schools & High Schools. Allie was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Gibsonburg. She loved education, traveling, spending time with her family, and practical jokes and all things German; she loved to laugh. Allie was planning her wedding to Matt. She had lived in Germany two different times, once as an exchange student in 2002 and for a year August 2005 to May 2006. She was planning to visit China this summer to teach English. Allie played in the band, loved music, was a photographer, and she loved kids. She cared very much for people. Surviving is her mother and brother, Andrew AJ Ansted both of Lindsey and Godson, Camden Mooney. She is preceded in death by her father and fiance, Matt Clearman. Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 from 2-9 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. with one hour of visitation at church prior to the service. Pastor Blair Miller will officiate. Burial will follow at Harris-Elmore Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, Zion Lutheran Church or to the Allison Ansted Scholarship Memorial Fund c/o 5/3 Bank.
