Charles Earl Ardner, 58 of Perrysburg, died as a result of an auto accident on Monday, September 22, 2008 in Henry County. He was born on October 18, 1949 in Toledo to the now deceased Harold and Donnabelle M. (Coleman) Ardner. He was a 1967 graduate of Fremont Ross High School, Fremont. Charles was self-employed. He began as road crew and retired as co-owner of Chemtrol Chemical Company. He enjoyed motorcycling, the Detroit Redwings, Detroit Lions Football, Indy Racing and most of all his pets, Storm, Penny, Rusty, Glory, Cindy and his many, many finned friends..

Surviving is a sister, Susan (Michael) Schoch of Gibsonburg; nieces, Lori (Dan) Greider of Gibsonburg, Wendy (Rick) Trout of Lewis Center; nephews, Michael Schoch Jr. and James Schoch both of Gibsonburg. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be on Sunday, September 28 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Services will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Clay Township Cemetery, Elmore.

Memorials may be made to the Wood County Humane Society, the Buckeye Border Collie Rescue (Tiffin) or to a charity of the donors choice.
