Evelyn M. Cascaden, 74 of Fremont, died Tuesday evening, June 7th at Bethesda Care Center, Fremont. She was born on May 25, 1931 in Garden City, MI to George and Eleanor (Lang) Barton. Evelyn was a 1949 graduate of Lowery High School, Dearborn, MI. In 1949 she married James Walker and he died in 1986, then she married John D. Cascaden in Pemberville and he died in July of 1988. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. Evelyn worked as a secretary for Sandusky County Welfare Dept. and also was the manager for her territory selling Tupperware for many years. She also was a member of the Fremont Senior Center.
Surviving are daughter, Nancy D. Chamberlain, Fremont, stepchildren, Jane Laird, Elaine Cascaden both of Fremont, Marilyn Casper, Huron, Dave Cascaden, Tiffin, Anne Penn, Norwalk, Debbie Fredrick, TX, 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, John F. Cascaden.
There will be no visitation. Burial will be private at a later date at Parkview Memorial in Livonia, MI. Arrangements are being handled by Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Fremont.
