Helen A. Arndt

Helen A. Arndt, 92 of Gibsonburg went to be with the Lord on Sunday afternoon, July 17, 2005 at St. Charles Mercy Hospital, Oregon. She was born on February 27, 1913 in Woodville to John and Edith (Meyer) Oehmke. On May 31, 1934 she married Lawrence O. Arndt and he died on August 16, 1998. Helen was a loving farm wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed painting ceramics and gardening. Surviving are children Delores Smith and Richard Arndt of Gibsonburg, Ralph Arndt of Curtice, Dale Arndt of Toledo; 15 grandchildren, many great and great- grandchildren; sister Doris Huston of Elmore and brother John Oehmke of Phoenix, AZ. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, son Lawrence Dutch Arndt Jr., brothers Hugh, Herbert and Delmar Oehmke, twin sister Hilda, sisters Alfreda Nowak and Edna Harman. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 20th from 4-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Funeral services will be on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor John Bell officiating. Burial will follow at Elmore Union Cemetery, Elmore.
