Hazel J. Aspacher

August 17, 1921 — August 24, 2004

Hazel J. Aspacher, 83, formerly of Gibsonburg, died early Tuesday morning at St. Charles Mercy Hospital, Oregon. She was born to the now-deceased Wiley R. and Gracie(Wagner) Compton in Tazewell, VA. On March 4, 1946 she married Harold Aspacher and he died in 1997. Hazel was a cosmetologist in Fremont for many years and a homemaker. She was a member of Solomon Lutheran Church, Woodville, a former member of Zion Lutheran Church, Gibsonburg, a former member of Shepherd of the Glades Lutheran Church, Naples, FL, Ladies of the Nobles and the American Legion Auxiliary. Surviving Hazel are sons, Harry L. (Linda) Aspacher, Woodville, Howard C. (Linda) Aspacher, Rochester, NY and Harley P. (Gina) Aspacher, Winterhaven. FL; 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She is preceded by her parents, husband, sisters, Mary Finger and Mattline Starks and brothers, Henry and Robert Compton. Visitation: 7-9 p.m. today at Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Services: 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Solomon Lutheran Church, Woodville, with Pastor Bill Duty officiating. Burial: West Union Cemtery, Gibsonburg. Memorials: Donor's Choice.
