U.S. Army Specialist Robert Bobby Clark, 32, formerly of Gibsonburg, died Saturday, April 8th as a result of a motorcycle accident in Colorado. He was born in Fremont to Thomas and Nancy (Davis) Clark on February 4, 1974. Bob attended Gibsonburg High School. On January 1, 2001 he enlisted in the Army and has served tours in Iraq in 2002, Afghanistan in 2004 and again in Iraq in 2005, earning the rank of Sergeant. He married Amy McGee on July 7, 2003 in Fort Collins, CO and she survives.
Also surviving are children Bobbi Rose Clark and Tyler Clark, his parents of Gibsonburg; siblings, Jeff (Donna) Clark of Fremont, Toanya (Keith) Hicks of Gibsonburg, Sabrina (Sean) Kaseman of Gibsonburg, Pam Mercer of Fremont and several nieces and nephews.
Bobby is preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Clark.
Bobby was a member of the VFW Warriors Post 101 of the Patriot Guard Riders, whose mission is to honor and respect Veterans. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and his ATV, fishing and watching sports. Bobby will be remembered for his kind smile, good nature and sense of humor.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 17 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 319 W. Madison St., Gibsonburg, OH. Services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Greg Voight of Oak Harbor officiating. Burial will follow, with full military rites by an Honor Guard from Fort Knox, at West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg.
Memorial donations may be made to the Gibsonburg Veterans Memorial Fund, c/o Ed Herman, 120 N. Main St., Gibsonburg, OH 43431. Money donated will go towards furnishing a plaque on the Veterans Wall in Bobbys memory.
