James A. Balsizer, 73 of Fremont died Friday, September 7, 2007 at Countryside Continuing Care Center, Fremont. He was born on June 24, 1934 in Riley Twp. to William A. & Laura (Martin) Balsizer. James graduated from Ross High School in 1953 and enlisted in the US Army serving from June 1957- June 1959. On July 11, 1959 he married Nancy (Creech) in Bellevue, Ohio and she survives. James was a laborer for Whirlpool retiring February 1, 1997. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, the Fort Stevenson Ramblers and Wheel Estators. He enjoyed camping and traveling to visit his children. James is survived by his wife, children; Lewis (C. Ellen) Balsizer of Tampa, FL, William (Judy) Balsizer of Simpsonville, SC, Roger (Becky) Balsizer of Fremont, and Ellen K. (Andrew) Bowlin of Bellaire Bluffs, FL, four grandchildren; Cody, Amelia, and Cole Balsizer and Carson Bowlin, along with his nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother; Russell, sisters; Elsie Howe, Grace Lindsay and Jean Ross.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2007 at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont from 3-8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 10, 2007 at Grace Lutheran Church at 10:30 AM with Pastor James Avers officiating. Additional visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, Kidney Foundation, Hospice of Memorial Hospital or the Donors Choice.
